AutoCAD SolidWorks Design Engineer

As a Design Engineer at Wilson Composites India LLP, you will be responsible for creating construction drawings using AutoCAD or equivalent software and 3D modeling using SolidWorks. Your role will involve modeling architectural trim products, creating 2D plans, elevations, and details, developing drawing submittals, and error-proofing drawings. You will also be tasked with generating first article reports, creating Bill of Materials, and supporting the Engineering Manager in various tasks. Key Responsibilities: - Model architectural trim products using SolidWorks - Create 2D plans, elevations, and details including wall sections, connection, and framing details - Develop drawing submittals and revisions for customer approval - Error proofing of drawings - Creating production models and first article inspection drawings - Generating first article reports for the drawings - Assisting QC team for any first article inspection queries - Create 2D drawings and 3D models for manufacturing at supplier's - Create Bill of Materials and verify vendor drawings - Support Engineering Manager in miscellaneous tasks Qualifications Required: - Minimum 3 years of experience in SolidWorks 2021/Autodesk Inventor modeling and AutoCAD drafting - Intermediate skill level in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, GD&T, and commercial building construction exposure - Ability to interpret U.S. construction materials, building practices, architectural, and structural construction drawings - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering - 2 to 3 years of work experience About the Company: Wilson Composites India LLP specializes in the design, engineering, and fabrication of custom Architectural Fiberglass (FRP) and Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC) products for the commercial construction industry.
