Job Description

Prepare 2D CAD drawings, layouts, and detailed designs for railway signalling systems (indoor & outdoor layouts, cable route plans, location box wiring diagrams, etc.).
Update and revise drawings based on engineer/manager feedback and approved design changes.
Ensure all drawings adhere to applicable railway signalling standards (RDSO/IR guidelines).
Coordinate with engineers, project teams, and site personnel for drawing clarifications.
Maintain drawing records, revision logs, and documentation in an organised manner.
Support preparation of As-Built drawings at project completion.
Assist in preparing quantity take-offs and BOMs (Bill of Materials) from drawings.

Preferred candidate profile

Diploma / ITI in Drafting, Civil, Electrical, or related discipline.
25 years of drafting experience, preferably in railway signalling or related infrastructure projects.

Familiarity with RDSO/IR standards and signalling layouts.
Experience in working with GIS or other drafting tools (added advantage).
