Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Design & Drafting:
Produce accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings, layouts, schematics, and blueprints for lighting fixtures, components, and complete lighting systems using AutoCAD software.
Collaboration:
Work closely with engineers, architects, interior designers, and project managers to understand design specifications and requirements, integrating lighting designs seamlessly with architectural and engineering plans.
Documentation:
Prepare technical documents, including bills of quantity (BOQ), material lists, cost estimates, specifications, and wiring diagrams.
Revisions and Quality Control:
Revise existing drawings based on feedback, project changes, and redlines. Conduct quality checks to ensure all drawings meet industry standards, safety regulations, and project guidelines.
Product Development Support:
Assist in the development of new design concepts, create fabrication drawings for production purposes, and communicate with manufacturers regarding design issues or custom fixture needs.
Site and Product Knowledge:
Conduct occasional site visits to understand project requirements and installation processes, and maintain a strong knowledge of various lighting products, technologies (like LED), and control systems.
