Australian Tax Accountant - CPA

About the Opportunity

We are hiring for a fast-growing organization working with international clients, seeking an experienced Australian CPA professional to manage accounting, taxation, and compliance activities aligned with Australian standards.

This role is ideal for candidates with strong exposure to Australian accounting practices, taxation laws, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end accounting and bookkeeping as per Australian accounting standards
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports
• Manage Australian taxation compliance including BAS, GST, PAYG, and Income Tax returns
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities
• Reconciliation of bank accounts, payroll, and balance sheet items
• Assist in audits and liaise with external accountants or auditors
• Ensure compliance with Australian financial regulations and deadlines
• Support financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting activities
• Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Qualified or pursuing CPA Australia / CA equivalent
• Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations
• Hands-on experience with Australian clients/accounts
• Experience in BAS, GST, payroll processing, and tax filings
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Preferred Profile
• Experience working in outsourcing/KPO/accounting firms handling Australian clients
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy in financial reporting
