Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Credit Control Executive with 2–3 years of relevant experience to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing credit risk, ensuring timely collection of receivables, and maintaining healthy customer relationships. You will play a key role in optimizing the company's cash flow and reducing outstanding debt. Key Responsibilities: Monitor customer accounts to identify overdue balances and follow up promptly via phone, email, and written communication. Evaluate credit applications and assess creditworthiness of new and existing customers in accordance with company policies. Allocate receipts, reconcile accounts, and resolve payment discrepancies or disputes in collaboration with the sales and customer service teams. Prepare and send customer account statements, reminders, and dunning letters. Maintain accurate records of all credit control activities and communications. Negotiate payment plans and settlements in line with internal guidelines. Collaborate with internal departments to address billing issues or disputes. Generate aging reports and other credit control MIS for management review. Recommend accounts to be handed over to legal/collections agencies if necessary. Assist in improving internal processes related to credit control and collections. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong understanding of credit control procedures and accounting principles. Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with accounting/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Tally, Oracle). Excellent communication and negotiation skills. High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities. Strong interpersonal skills for dealing with internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field. 2–3 years of hands-on experience in credit control or accounts receivable roles. Certification in credit management or accounting (optional but preferred).
