Job Title: Merchandiser Jewellery Category Location: Bangalore Experience: 45 years (Jewellery Merchandising experience in a retail chain is a must) Key Responsibilities 1. Assortment Planning & Product Mix o Determine the right mix of jewellery products in line with market trends, customer preferences, and brand ethos. o Identify opportunities for new product introductions and recommend discontinuation of underperforming items. 2. Inventory & Stock Management o Ensure optimal stock levels across stores and online channels. o Manage inventory turnover and minimize aged/slow-moving stock to maximize profitability. 3. Sales Performance & Analytics o Track and analyse sales data and KPIs to drive actionable insights. o Conduct sell-through analysis at both attribute (style, material, price point) and market level to support decision-making. 4. Store & Customer Feedback o Gather and incorporate bottom-up feedback from stores regarding customer preferences. o Address non-purchase reasons to enhance conversion and improve assortment relevance. 5. Digital Catalogue Management o Catalogue, update, and maintain the online product assortment on the website. o Ensure product details, categorization, and availability are accurate and up to date. 6. Category Growth & Sales Targets o Drive category growth by achieving top-line targets as per planned category sales shares. o Strategically plan and execute new product launches to meet business objectives. 7. Product Universe Management o Maintain and update the complete product universe for the jewellery category, ensuring clarity across all channels. Key Requirements Experience: 45 years of proven experience in Jewellery Merchandising within a retail chain. Strong understanding of fashion/jewellery market trends and consumer buying behaviour. Expertise in sales analysis, stock management, and assortment planning. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Supply Chain, Retail, E-commerce). Proficiency in MS Excel/Analytics tools for reporting and decision-making. Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Preferred Skills Knowledge of retail merchandising systems/ERP tools. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
