Audit Associate - Energy

As an Audit Associate at Weaver and Tidwell India, L.L.P., you will be a valuable member of the Energy team based in Chennai or Bangalore, India. You will be responsible for performing audit procedures as assigned on engagements and contributing to the completion of audit projects. Working closely with Senior Associates and Managers, you will play a key role in identifying and resolving issues that may arise during financial statement audits. Your responsibilities will also include developing effective work paper techniques, assisting with financial statement preparation, and creating a plan for your professional development under the guidance of your group leader. We are looking for a team player who demonstrates initiative, takes ownership of tasks, communicates effectively, and can manage multiple assignments simultaneously, varying in size and complexity. To excel in this role, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and be a CPA, CA, or ACCA candidate with some internship or entry-level experience in public accounting. A fundamental understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) is essential. While not mandatory, a Master's degree in Accounting or a related field, along with a CPA, CA, or ACCA certification, is preferred. An interest in the Energy industry, excellent written and oral communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and strong interpersonal abilities will be advantageous. In this role, you will be part of the Accounting industry, working full-time as an Associate with a focus on Accounting/Auditing functions.
