Job Description

An Accounts Assistant provides administrative and accounting support to accounting and finance teams. Their responsibilities include processing invoices, managing financial records, and assisting with tasks like payroll and bank reconciliations. They ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations, often working with accounting software and spreadsheets. Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other reports.
  • Data Entry: Inputting financial data into accounting systems, ensuring accuracy and proper coding of transactions.
  • Invoice Processing: Preparing, processing, and reconciling invoices for accounts payable and receivable.
  • Payment Processing: Managing payments to vendors, suppliers, and employees.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Reconciling bank statements and monitoring transactions for discrepancies.
  • Payroll Support: Assisting with payroll processing, verifying employee hours, and handling deductions.
  • Reporting: Helping prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Administrative Tasks: Handling general administrative duties such as answering phones, responding to emails, and filing documents.
  • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Accounting Knowledge: Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software: Experience with accounting software like QuickBooks, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy and thoroughness in financial data entry and record-keeping.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and external parties.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies or issues related to financial transactions.

Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹10,228.90 per month
