Role & responsibilities When diagnosing patients, speech-language typically do the following: Ability to clinically evaluate the patient, independently. Taking decision and administer the modalities & procedures with high skill of performance. Ensure service excellence with high standard of patient care. Maintain good & healthy relations with other professionals, including physicians, patients, patients relatives To ensure that ethical professional practice is followed. Knowledge of safe and proper operations of all equipment. To comply with the service quality Process, environmental & occupational issues & policies of the respective area. To comply with patient safety policy. To ensure safe utilization of equipments and proper waste disposal system. Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability Work with patients to improve their ability to read and write correctly Work with patients to develop and strengthen the muscles used to swallow Counsel patients and families on how to cope with communication disorders Qualifications & Experience BASLP Bachelor in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology / MASLP / M.Sc. (Audiology / Speech-Language Pathology) 0 to 3 years of experience
