Job Description Job Title : Extrusion Die technician & shift supervisor Main Purpose of Job (Why job exists/what it must achieve) Level / Grade: DAT/WAT 1) Shift wise new die development Trial and NPI process follow up. 2) Shift wise NPI component Booking. 3) Shift wise Process and product parameters audit and Trouble Shooting & Extrusion related scrap reduction Reports to: Sr. Manager (Extruder & Stock Prep-Tech) Organization Unit / Location ATC Tires AP Pvt Ltd, VizagMain Responsibilities / Job Summary (Primary deliverables of role and its scope) KPIs (Measurable parameters of the role ) & Dimensions (What is the span of the role) 1) Machine operation of die cutting machine (CNC-wire cutting M/C) 2) Die preparation for verity of components as per profile drawing 3) Welding ,Grinding, Filing & Tapping operations 4) Trial executions in different types of extruder(Simplex, Duplex ,Triplex.. etc.) 5) Understand the process abnormality & find out the root cause analysis 6) New Die development and implantation in process. 7) Process Trial - Process issue/improvement. 8) Extrusion product sample cross verification off-line and releasing as per SOP. 9) Hold and disposition of NC materials in Extruder and stock preparation areas. 10) Collecting the Data & maintain in the record & entry in system 11) Maintain 5S in work place 12) Participate in continuous improvement activities as required (KAIZEN, QCC etc.). 13) Adhere to Quality standards and procedures KPIs: Shift wise Process and product parameters audit and Trouble Shooting & Extrusion related scrap reduction 100% NPI process follow up as per plan and develop the die on time. Staff reporting: NO Skills & Knowledge Requirements (Abilities / Knowledge & Expertise in field) Knowledge (Technical / Functional) Proficiency in Extrusion process. Die making process. Skills Process Trouble Shooting Capabilities Ability to make Extrusion die alone and implement in Process. Qualifications Diploma/ITI Must requirement- Minimum experience 8-10 years on-hand die preparation Special Requirement Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Ability to understand & implement 5S and safety practice at respective process area. Data interpretation ability
