Role Overview: You will be responsible for exploring the mechanism of stable slurry dispersions and proposing a rheological model that can predict slurry stability. Additionally, you will support the new capability buildup for enabling fast execution of New Product Development (NPD) for the Plastics lab. The specific project will be determined based on your academic background, interests, and time availability in collaboration with the team. Key Responsibilities: - Explore stable vs. instable slurry dispersions using various rheological methods - Summarize rheological data and propose how the structural properties behave to stabilize the dispersions - Identify key parameters affecting the stability of slurry dispersions and propose a method to predict stability - Evaluate die buildup and develop test methods - Work on High gloss PC application including screen count method upgrade and in-house injection molding method development - Study Opaque PE film application focusing on the influence of carbon black morphology - Develop at least two advanced abrasion test methods - Conduct Design of Experiments (DOE) to investigate the influence of carbon black on abrasion resistance Qualification Required: - Experience in exploring stable vs. instable slurry dispersions using various rheological methods - Proficiency in summarizing rheological data and understanding how structural properties impact dispersion stabilization - Ability to identify key parameters affecting slurry stability and propose predictive methods - Strong background in test method development and die buildup evaluation - Familiarity with High gloss PC application and knowledge of screen count method upgrade and in-house injection molding method development - Understanding of Opaque PE film application and the influence of carbon black morphology - Prior experience in developing advanced abrasion test methods and conducting DOEs (Note: No additional details of the company were provided in the job description),
