ATC Intern

As a Rheological Model Development Intern at our company, you will be responsible for exploring the mechanism of stable slurry dispersions and proposing a rheological model to predict slurry stability. You will support the capability buildup for fast execution of New Product Development (NPD) in the Plastics lab. The specific project will be determined based on your academic background, interests, and availability. Key Responsibilities: - Explore stable vs. instable slurry dispersions using various rheological methods - Summarize rheological data and analyze structural properties to stabilize the dispersions - Identify key parameters affecting the stability of slurry dispersions and propose predictive methods - Evaluate die buildup and develop test methods - Enhance the screen count method and develop in-house injection molding methods for high gloss PC application - Investigate the influence of carbon black morphology on opaque PE film application - Develop at least two advanced abrasion test methods - Conduct Design of Experiments (DOE) to study the influence of carbon black on abrasion resistance Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in exploring stable vs. instable slurry dispersions using various rheological methods - Ability to summarize rheological data and analyze structural properties for stabilization - Strong understanding of the parameters affecting slurry stability and proposing predictive methods - Experience in die buildup evaluation and test method development - Knowledge of screen count method enhancement and in-house injection molding method development for high gloss PC application - Familiarity with the influence of carbon black morphology on opaque PE film application - Capability to develop advanced abrasion test methods - Skills in conducting DOE to analyze the influence of carbon black on abrasion resistance This job offers a unique opportunity to work on challenging projects in rheology, material science, and product development.
