Asst. Manager/Sr. Design Engineer

As an individual contributor in the MES DDC team, you will be responsible for guiding team members and contributing to the design and development of mechanical and structural components and systems of Mast Hoisting Gear (MHG). Your key responsibilities will include: - Ensuring that all designs meet industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications. - Conducting detailed analysis and simulations to validate design integrity and performance. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as manufacturing, quality assurance, project management, and through-life support. - Coordinating with different departments and internal/external laboratories for experimental work. - Performing literature or web surveys to address design and R&D requirements. - Reviewing and approving design documents, drawings, and specifications. - Preparing drawings with an understanding of the manufacturing process and releasing them in PLM. - Resolving design changes and non-conformities. - Willingness to travel to various locations across India to visit vendors, customers, or test facilities. Additionally, prior experience with PLM and awareness of CMMI Level V for design and developmental projects are preferred. You should also be able to identify and develop the skill sets required for ongoing and future design projects. Desired areas of exposure and work background include Machine Design, Strength of Materials, FEA using Hypermesh and Ansys Mechanical, CAD (UG NX), FEA Fundamentals, Mechanics of Materials, and Mechanical Vibration. Preferred expertise encompasses Design and Analysis of Structures, Systems Engineering, PLM, Theory of Machines, Optimization (Topology/Topography/Shape/Size), and Design of Experiments (DOE).,
