Associate / Technical Lead, Software Development

As a software engineer at KLA, your role will involve designing, developing, integrating, and maintaining software features for large semiconductor products. You will collaborate with multi-site team members in India and the USA, as well as non-software teams, throughout different phases of the software product life cycle. Your responsibilities will include working on complex problems, ensuring detailed designs and code are consistent and scalable, making design and architectural improvements, participating in requirements definition, providing technical expertise for project planning, and identifying and mitigating technical risks. Additionally, you will contribute to the improvement of the organization's development procedures. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, integrate, and maintain software features for large semiconductor products - Interact with multi-site team members and non-software teams during various phases of the software product life cycle - Work on complex problems requiring in-depth evaluation - Ensure detailed designs, code, and unit tests are consistent, robust, future-proof, and scalable - Make design and architectural improvements to existing software - Participate in requirements definition and review processes - Provide technical expertise for project planning - Identify, highlight, review, and mitigate technical risks - Contribute to the improvement of the organization's development procedures Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, or equivalent field with 6+ years of experience in large software systems and/or semiconductor products - OR Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, or equivalent field with 4+ years of experience in large software systems and/or semiconductor products - Strong development experience on Windows Platform - Proven experience in using UML, OOP, and OOD design methodologies - Strong fundamentals in Data structures and algorithms - Good understanding of using STL, boost library - Understanding of multi-threading and multicore programming concepts - VC++ Windows experience is a plus - Creative, result-oriented, disciplined, highly motivated, and able to work well individually and as part of a global team - Good communication, interpersonal skills, and team coordination skills required - Quick learner with problem analysis and solving ability Minimum Qualifications: - Doctorate (Academic) or work experience of 0 years - Master's Level Degree or work experience of 2 years - Bachelor's Level Degree or work experience of 3 years KLA offers a competitive total rewards package and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
