Description
As an Associate Software Architect - AI Solutions at our company, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with AI/ML engineers, developers, and platform architects to define end-to-end solution architectures for AI-powered systems. Your responsibilities will include designing and reviewing architectures that support LLM-based, Deep Learning, and traditional ML workloads with a focus on modularity, performance, and maintainability. Additionally, you will be driving architectural alignment across various components such as model serving, orchestration layers, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure. Your role will also involve incorporating Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) like scalability, testability, observability, latency, and fault tolerance into system designs. Furthermore, you will define architecture patterns for deploying models as microservices, integrating with APIs, and ensuring CI/CD readiness. Your expertise will be pivotal in evaluating and recommending suitable cloud services and managed tools from AWS (Sagemaker, Bedrock) and Azure (ML Studio, OpenAI, AI Foundry). Ensuring high standards of code quality, performance benchmarking, and architectural documentation will also be part of your responsibilities. Lastly, you will collaborate in technical reviews and mentor engineering teams on architectural best practices and trade-offs. Your qualifications should include a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, along with 7+ years of experience in software/system architecture, including at least 4 years working with AI/ML-based solutions. You should possess a strong understanding of the AI system lifecycle, including model development, serving, monitoring, and retraining. Proficiency in designing scalable systems with Python, FastAPI, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes or ECS) is essential. Furthermore, you should have experience defining and measuring NFRs, conducting architectural performance reviews, and supporting DevOps and MLOps practices. Hands-on experience with cloud-native AI development using AWS or Azure tools and services is a must, as well as experience working in AI/ML-driven environments, especially with LLMs, RAG architectures, and agent-based systems. Familiarity with model observability, logging frameworks, and telemetry strategies for AI applications will be beneficial. Prior exposure to architecture in the Power/Energy or Electrification domain is considered a strong advantage. A good understanding of hybrid system architectures that integrate real-time and batch pipelines is also desired. Your strong collaboration and documentation skills will be crucial in aligning cross-functional technical teams effectively.
