Associate Product Manager

The Opportunity

RoaDo helps shippers and logistics teams run domestic and cross-border freight on one connected platform. As a Product Manager, you'll take charge of one area of that platform. Depending on business needs at the time you join, it could be load planning, carrier sourcing and spot bidding, shipment visibility, our AI-driven control tower, digital proof of delivery, freight billing, or our export-import (EXIM) workflows. You'll partner with engineers, operations teams, and enterprise clients to turn real logistics problems into products that deliver clear business results.

Your Responsibilities

• Set the product direction and quarterly priorities for your area, and see them through to delivery

• Take full ownership of how users get work done in your module, from first sketch to everyday adoption

• Strengthen how RoaDo connects with the outside world: client ERPs, transporter systems, GPS and telematics devices, shipping lines, forwarders, customs brokers, and port terminals

• Give customers a single view of their international shipments, from factory gate to port, across the sea or air leg, and on to final delivery

• Spend regular time with exporters, importers, transporters, forwarders, and finance teams to find where work breaks down and decide what to fix first

• Write detailed requirement documents that leave little room for interpretation, and stay close to the engineering team through each sprint

• Choose the right success measures, such as usage, turnaround time, port dwell, and cost per shipment, and report on them consistently

What We're Looking For

• 3 to 5 years in product management, including at least 2 years running a B2B software product with full accountability

• Solid knowledge of road freight in India, both full-truckload and part-load, including how loads are planned, how transporters are selected, how trips are tracked, and how freight bills are settled

• Practical understanding of the truckload lifecycle: placing orders with transporters, monitoring trip milestones, handling waiting charges, and closing payments

• Good knowledge of export-import operations, including space booking, container handling at CFS and ICD, port movement, customs filing, and coordination with shipping lines and forwarders

• Comfort with core trade documents and terms such as Bill of Lading, Shipping Bill, Bill of Entry, Incoterms, and demurrage and detention charges

• Experience with exception alerts, live visibility, or control-tower style products will set you apart

• Able to read API docs and work through integration details with engineers, including GPS and SIM-based tracking, container tracking feeds, webhooks, and ERP connections

• A data-driven mindset: you can estimate the size of a problem, pick the metric that matters, and build a persuasive case from numbers

• Strong written communication and the ability to align engineering and business teams around a spec

How You Use AI

We give real weight to this. RoaDo PMs are expected to use AI as part of their everyday toolkit.

• You regularly use tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor to analyse data and find patterns in product logs, customer tickets, and call notes

• You can quickly build a working prototype or demo to test an idea before engineering time is spent

• You use AI to speed up research, produce first drafts of specs, and challenge your own assumptions early

• You think about how AI can change what our product does for customers, such as reading trade documents automatically or predicting delays, and not only how it speeds up building

Bonus Points

• Background in multi-tenant enterprise SaaS

• Hands-on experience with freight forwarding, 3PL, or shipping line software, or with platforms like ICEGATE, PCS, or ULIP

• Exposure to multimodal freight across road, rail, sea, and air

• Working knowledge of Mixpanel, Metabase, Jira, or similar tools

Pay: ₹749,301.00 - ₹1,100,000.00 per year
