Job Description

As a Financial Reporting Analyst at Standard Chartered Bank, you will be responsible for maintaining financial reporting integrity and ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial reports. You will prepare and maintain supporting documentation for financial statements, conduct reviews on critical processes, and engage with various teams for data reviews and rectifications. You will collaborate with stakeholders across Country finance, Business finance, and Group Finance teams to manage expectations and comply with governance requirements. Additionally, you will manage Quarterly & Annual Group queries and contribute effectively as part of the GBS and GFS Extended Leadership Team. In terms of governance, you will ensure compliance with all governance requirements, process metrics review, service review calls, and business continuity planning. You will also display exemplary conduct, live by the Groups Values and Code of Conduct, and take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics. Key Responsibilities: - Building a strong functional and business knowledge within the teams - Maintaining financial reporting integrity and reviewing all data for accuracy - Preparing and maintaining supporting documentation for financial statements - Conducting reviews on critical processes such as head office expenses, cross-border recharges, and derivatives - Engaging with Data Quality and Assurance team for data reviews and adjustments - Collaborating with IFRS reporting team to ensure completion of reporting actions - Performing quarterly analysis of movements in balances and variances - Managing Quarterly & Annual Group queries from various teams - Contributing effectively as part of GBS and GFS Extended Leadership Team - Challenging current practices and procedures to implement effective solutions Key stakeholders: SCB UK and Treasury Country Finance Qualifications: - Qualified Accountant (CA, CPA, or CIMA (UK)) with 2 to 5 years of experience - Post Graduate with 5 years of relevant work experience in Financial Reporting role - Good understanding of Financial Accounting standards (IAS and IFRS) Skills And Experience: - Proficiency in Financial Reporting and Excel Functions About Standard Chartered: Standard Chartered is an international bank dedicated to making a positive difference for clients, communities, and employees.
