Job Description

Role Overview: As an Associate Legal Counsel at Adobe in Bangalore, India, you will play a crucial role in providing legal support for Adobes operations across India. Reporting to the Managing Counsel, APAC, your primary responsibility will be to act as a trusted advisor to the Sales teams in India, assisting in structuring and closing deals with sound legal judgment and practical business advice. This includes reviewing and negotiating various commercial agreements such as enterprise licensing agreements, reseller contracts, and professional services engagements. Additionally, you will be involved in monitoring legal and regulatory developments, handling privacy and data protection matters, supporting procurement and vendor contracting, and contributing to legal initiatives and process improvement projects. Key Responsibilities: - Act as a trusted advisor to Sales teams in India, assisting in structuring and closing deals with sound legal judgment. - Review and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements including enterprise licensing agreements, reseller contracts, and professional services engagements. - Monitor legal and regulatory developments in India to ensure compliance. - Assist with privacy, data protection, and AI-related legal matters in customer agreements. - Support procurement and vendor contracting in line with Adobes policies. - Contribute to global and regional legal initiatives and process improvement projects. - Perform any other legal duties as required. Qualifications Required: - Legal practitioner in India with 1-3 years of post-qualification experience. - Experience in technology licensing contracts, intellectual property law, and privacy is a plus. - Strong interest and demonstrated proficiency in these areas are also considered. - Excellent written and oral English skills.
