Job Description: Be part of the team responsible for developing and enhancing the core Listed Derivatives applications. Develop and maintain multi-tiered risk applications related to the Listed Derivatives platform, leveraging Java and databases to ensure seamless integration and functionality. Demonstrate the ability to work independently or within a team environment, taking ownership of tasks and driving them to completion. Play both leadership and team contributor roles as necessary, taking initiative on key technical challenges and guiding junior team members. Engage in clear and effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business needs and goals. Develop secure, efficient, and high-quality production code, adhering to industry best practices, and performing thorough code reviews of peer submissions. Champion CI/CD best practices for continuous integration, testing, and deployment. Identify and address recurring operational issues, automating solutions where possible to improve stability and reliability. Collaborate with upstream and downstream teams to understand end-to-end trade flows and ensure the integration of applications across the enterprise. Mandatory Skills: Languages/Frameworks: Core Java, Spring Framework Databases: DB2 or any other relational database Messaging Systems: Kafka Distributed Systems: Distributed Caching Technologies Scripting: Basic understanding of Unix shell scripting, Python for automation tasks CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practices Required Skills: Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in Core Java and Spring, with experience in developing enterprise-grade applications. Database Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of relational databases, preferably DB2, with a focus on performance optimization and complex queries. Messaging Caching Systems: Practical experience working with Kafka for event-driven architectures and distributed caching techniques. Scripting Skills: Intermediate scripting knowledge, particularly in Unix shell scripting and Python for automation. Analytical Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to analyze problems, debug complex issues, and provide effective solutions. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and business teams. Teamwork Leadership: Ability to contribute both as a team player and a leader when required, mentoring junior developers and driving technical decisions. Experience: Previous experience in the financial services or investment banking domain is preferred, with a strong understanding of Listed Derivatives and related risk management applications.
