Job Description

As an Associate Software Applications Development Engineer at NTT DATA, you will be an entry-level subject matter expert assisting in the development of new applications and enhancing existing ones to meet the needs of internal organizations and clients. Your responsibilities will include: - Assisting in the development of applications to achieve client objectives and user needs. - Participating in designing and coding applications while maintaining application databases. - Analyzing and enhancing existing software applications to optimize functionality and enable use on new hardware platforms. - Collaborating with internal technical stakeholders to gather project information and requirements. - Testing applications extensively to ensure they are error-free and meet quality standards. - Installing applications and providing technical advice. - Producing software documentation and participating in software review meetings. To excel in this role, you should have: - Understanding of computer science principles, programming, and application design. - Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. - Proficiency in Java programming and software development processes. - Familiarity with agile development methodologies like Scrum. - Knowledge of integrated development environments and various programming languages. Academic qualifications and certifications required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. - Certification in programming languages like Java, Perl, Python preferred. - Scrum or Project Management certification is a plus. Necessary experience includes: - Basic experience in Software Applications Engineering or Software Development. - Familiarity with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python. - Working knowledge of Linux/Unix, Windows operating systems, SQL, and Agile project management.
