Associate Engineer - Power Thermal

As a Qualcomm Software Engineer, your role involves designing, developing, modifying, and validating embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and specialized utility programs. You will contribute to the creation of cutting-edge, world-class products that exceed customer expectations. Collaboration with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams is essential in designing system-level software solutions and gathering performance requirements and interfaces. To be considered for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Software Engineering. Alternatively, a Master's degree with 1 year of relevant work experience or a PhD in a related field is also acceptable. Proficiency in Programming Languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc., with at least 2 years of academic or work experience is required. The successful candidate will join the Power/Thermal Software products team at Qualcomm to develop industry-leading solutions for Power/Thermal/Limit SW management on Qualcomm chipsets across Mobile, Automotive, Compute, IoT, and AR/VR domains. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify power optimizations, thermal/limits HW tuning, risks assessment, and providing optimal solutions. System-level analysis of Power/thermal use cases and collaboration with various teams to achieve optimal system-level Power/thermal SW solution are key aspects of the role. Moreover, a background in Systems/HW with a solid understanding of microprocessor architecture, SoC hardware blocks, operating systems concepts, debug tools, and knowledge in power/thermal management SW development is highly desirable. Expertise in Embedded Systems, Microcontrollers, SoC Power, Modem, Multimedia, Wireless communications, and system-level debugging for SoC power optimizations is advantageous.
