Job Description

As a Product Owner in DataOps Tools & Services at GSK, you will play a crucial role in driving efficiencies within the data product teams. Your primary responsibility will be to increase throughput and quality while ensuring the delivery of trustworthy data through repeatable and traceable processes. You will be accountable for defining and delivering the capability roadmap for one or more products aimed at facilitating the movement, processing, and protection of data in alignment with the FAIR principles within the Development Data Mesh. Your scope of work will encompass various aspects of DataOps Tools & Services, including data exchange, harmonization, observability/monitoring, protection, and anonymization capabilities. In collaboration with data product owners, engineers, and key individuals in data quality, governance, and analytics enablement teams, you will ensure the seamless integration of capabilities and leverage automation wherever feasible. You will work alongside a dedicated team of product designers, analysts, and engineers, applying agile delivery methodologies to accelerate product progression and enhance customer value. Your key responsibilities will include developing and executing 3-year product roadmaps aligned with the R&D strategy, managing and prioritizing the product backlog, driving PI planning events, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions that meet user needs and business goals. Additionally, you will oversee the product lifecycle from ideation to launch, define key performance indicators and success metrics, and ensure fit-for-purpose governance is applied to the products within the domain. To excel in this role, you are expected to have a Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or engineering with at least 15 years of experience. You should have a proven track record of delivering successful products and services in pharma R&D analytics, as well as experience working with Pharma R&D data across a global enterprise. Strong communication, relationship management, influencing skills, and experience with Agile and DevOps are essential. Experience in vendor management, data anonymization, data access workflows, and compliance with data privacy regulations will be beneficial. If you possess a Master's or Doctorate in Tech/Life Sciences, SAFE/Agile certification, experience in GxP Validation processes, design thinking, or event-driven architecture, it would be considered a plus.
