Associate Director - Software Quality Assurance

Role Overview: You are being hired as an Associate Director - Software Quality Assurance at Zeno to define and lead the company's quality assurance function across software platforms, including cloud backend, mobile applications, and embedded systems. This leadership role requires a combination of technical depth and organizational vision to ensure all products meet high standards of performance, reliability, and safety. Key Responsibilities: - Define and drive the overall QA strategy, roadmap, and processes for cloud, mobile, and embedded systems. - Build and oversee Test Strategy, Test Plans, and Test Cases for complex software environments. - Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers to promote automation-first testing and continuous improvement. - Establish best practices for various types of testing within CI/CD pipelines. - Implement and enhance test automation frameworks to increase coverage and efficiency. - Manage defect lifecycle, conduct root cause analysis, and report quality metrics. - Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams to seamlessly integrate QA into development workflows. - Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and methods to improve QA practices continuously. Qualifications Required: - 12+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance. - 6+ years of experience in software testing, with 4+ years specifically in cloud backend and/or mobile app testing. - Strong understanding of cloud backend architectures and mobile application technologies. - Expertise in creating Test Strategies, Test Plans, and Test Cases. - Hands-on experience with test automation and scripting in Python. Knowledge of other scripting languages like Bash and Perl is a plus. - Proficiency in Git and defect tracking tools such as Jira. - Familiarity with Unit Test Frameworks and Automated Test Frameworks.
