Job Description

Role Overview: As an Associate Data Architect I-ADF at ADB, with 10+ years of experience, you will play a crucial role in designing and building scalable data solutions and modern data platforms. Your deep technical proficiency in PySpark, SQL, Azure Databricks, and experience with cloud environments such as AWS or GCP will be essential in leading the design and implementation of robust ETL/ELT pipelines. Your responsibilities will include developing data models using Kimball/star schema and mentoring a team of engineers in a fast-paced, data-driven organization. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain scalable, efficient ETL/ELT data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and analytics. - Lead architecture and design discussions for big data solutions leveraging PySpark, SQL, and cloud-native tools (e.g., Azure Databricks, AWS Glue, GCP Dataflow). - Implement and optimize data models using Kimball/star schema or other dimensional modeling techniques. - Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to define requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. - Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across data systems and pipelines. - Promote engineering best practices, including code reviews, CI/CD, and workflow automation. - Mentor and lead a team of data engineers, fostering technical excellence and professional growth. Qualifications Required: - 10+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering or related fields. - Strong expertise in PySpark and advanced SQL for data processing and transformation. - Proven experience with Azure Databricks and at least one major cloud platform (AWS or GCP). - Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling (Kimball/star schema). - Proven ability to design and build ETL/ELT pipelines and frameworks. - Familiarity with data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Azure Data Factory, Step Functions). - Strong problem-solving skills and experience managing large-scale data systems. - Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a track record of guiding technical teams.,
