As a Clinical Research Specialist at Medtronic, based in India, your responsibilities will include overseeing, designing, planning, and developing clinical evaluation research studies. You will be involved in preparing and authoring protocols and patient record forms, as well as conducting clinical studies of products that address medical needs or have commercial potential. You will interpret the results of clinical investigations in preparation for new drug, device, or consumer applications. Additionally, you will manage the operational aspects of clinical trials in adherence to standard operating procedures, good clinical practice, and relevant country regulations. Your role may also involve managing clinical trial budgets, clinical supply operations, site selection, and vendor management. Within the region/country, you will represent Medtronic in clinical research matters, engage with local customers and authorities, build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and drive local evidence dissemination and awareness. As a Specialist in the career stream, you will work as an individual contributor with expertise in a professional discipline or specialty. You will deliver and manage projects, collaborate with stakeholders, and may mentor colleagues or direct the work of junior professionals. Your focus will be on delivering projects from design to implementation while adhering to policies and utilizing specialized knowledge and skills acquired through advanced education. In this entry-level role, you will work with close supervision on projects of limited scope, typically smaller and less complex activities. You will identify, define, and address problems that are not immediately evident but usually not difficult or complex. Minor changes in systems and processes may be made to solve these problems. Communication will primarily be with internal contacts within your immediate group. This position does not involve leadership or talent management responsibilities. The job requires broad theoretical knowledge obtained through advanced education and a Baccalaureate degree. No prior experience is necessary.
