Assistant/Associate Professor Graphic Design

Role Overview: As a Professor of Graphic Design at Koshys Group of Institutions in Bengaluru, you will have the opportunity to influence and guide the next generation of creative professionals in the Department of Visual Arts. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct lectures, studio sessions, and workshops in core areas of graphic design including visual communication, typography, branding, digital illustration, color theory, pre-press techniques, and more. - Engage students in hands-on practical learning using traditional art methods and modern digital tools. - Evaluate students" academic performance through assignments, project work, presentations, and examinations. - Provide individual guidance to students in building strong professional portfolios for careers in advertising, branding, publishing, and digital media. - Supervise students" creative projects, internships, and capstone work to ensure they meet academic and professional standards. - Mentor students in developing skills relevant to careers in agencies, design studios, print production, and digital platforms. - Bring practical knowledge of real-world production workflows to bridge the gap between academics and professional practice. - Participate in research, creative practice, or publications to enhance personal and institutional academic credentials. - Collaborate with colleagues for interdisciplinary projects and support departmental initiatives. Qualification Required: - Master's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Applied Arts, or a related field. - Minimum 5 years of full-time teaching experience at the university or college level. - Proven industry production experience in design studio, advertising agency, branding firm, or print/digital production unit. - Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in branding, typography, packaging, digital layouts, and production workflows. - Technical proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and familiarity with digital production tools. - Strong understanding of pre-press workflows, color calibration, printing processes, and digital production techniques.
