Description
As a Professor of Graphic Design at Koshys Group of Institutions in Bengaluru, your role will involve guiding students to develop a strong foundation in visual communication, design thinking, and production workflows. You will play a crucial role in aligning academic programs with industry standards, mentoring students in technical and conceptual skills, and contributing to the department's growth as a hub of creative excellence. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct lectures, studio sessions, and workshops in core areas of graphic design including visual communication principles, typography, branding, digital illustration, color theory, pre-press techniques, and more. - Engage students in hands-on practical learning using traditional art methods and modern digital tools. - Evaluate students" academic performance through various assessments and provide guidance in building professional portfolios. - Supervise students" creative projects, internships, and capstone work to ensure they meet academic and professional standards. - Facilitate industry engagement by bringing practical knowledge of production workflows, teaching about color management, and creating internship opportunities with creative agencies and production studios. - Participate in research, curriculum development, and contribute to departmental initiatives such as art exhibitions, conferences, and seminars. Qualifications & Experience: Educational Requirements: - Masters degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field. - PhD in the relevant field is preferred. Professional Experience: - Minimum 5 years of teaching experience at university/college level. - Industry production experience in design studios, advertising agencies, or print/digital production units. Skills & Competencies: - Technical proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and digital production tools. - Strong understanding of pre-press workflows, color calibration, and printing processes. - Creative leadership, teaching excellence, and collaborative spirit. - Adaptability to emerging design technologies and trends.
