Assistant Manager

Chartered Accountant Audit & Advisory

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Chartered Accountant with 1 - 5 years of post-qualification experience to join our growing professional services firm. The position offers exposure to accounting, internal audit, financial reporting, risk advisory and other multidisciplinary assignments across diverse industries.

Roles and Responsibilities

-Manage accounting, financial reporting and period-end closing assignments.

-Review books of accounts, reconciliations, journal entries and financial statements.

-Plan and execute internal audit, process review and internal financial control assignments.

-Identify control gaps, operational risks and opportunities for process improvement.

-Prepare audit observations, management reports, SOPs, process notes and Risk Control Matrices.

-Perform financial analysis, variance analysis and management reporting.

-Assist in statutory audit, tax audit, financial due diligence and other assurance assignments.

-Review compliance with applicable accounting standards, policies and regulatory requirements.

-Coordinate directly with clients, understand their requirements and ensure timely completion of assignments.

-Guide and review the work of junior team members.

-Participate in client meetings and present findings and recommendations to management.

-Be willing to travel or work from client locations, whenever required.

Candidate Profile

-Qualified Chartered Accountant/ Cost & Management Accountant with 1 - 5 years of post-qualification experience.

-Strong knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, internal audit and internal controls.

-Good analytical, problem-solving and report-writing skills.

-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

-Experience with accounting or ERP software such as Tally, SAP or similar platforms would be an advantage.

-Good command of written and spoken English.

-Confident in communicating and coordinating with clients and senior management.

-Dynamic, proactive and capable of managing multiple assignments independently.

-Strong attention to detail, professional judgement and commitment to meeting deadlines.

-Willingness to learn and work across different service areas and industries.

-Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
