Job Description

Role Overview: As an Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager in the Commercial department with a focus on Outside Sales - EXIM, your primary role will involve developing customers in the EXIM sector and serving as the key sales contact for your assigned portfolio of customers. Key Responsibilities: - Identify new customers and explore new business opportunities with existing customers. - Create a sales call plan for the upcoming week every Friday. - Conduct sales calls at the premises of both new and existing customers, with a target of 12 calls per week. - Prepare detailed sales visit reports, including meeting outcomes and action plans, by the first Monday of the visit week. - Liaise with pricing desks at HO / RO to propose volume potential and file AQUA Contract quotations through the Sales Support Team. - Gather market intelligence on competitor activities, rates, new services, and other relevant information, and report findings to the Sales Manager. - Generate sales leads for cargo originating from India and communicate them to the appropriate counterparts. - Identify specific opportunities for non-maritime businesses and respond to assigned sales leads promptly. - Promote CMA CGM Group Services and Non-Maritime products such as e-commerce, VAS, intermodal, and CEVA. - Collaborate with the sales support team for rates filing and support the development of overall market share and turnover as per the commercial strategy. - Drive the promotion of SPOTON Digital Products and CC India products/services for imports through reverse marketing and sales leads. - Ensure compliance with all NOVA Business KPIS related to Maritime Opportunities, Sales Targets, Shipping and Non-Shipping Targets, and any other new targets set by commercial management. Qualifications Required: - Minimum graduate qualification. - At least 5 years of experience in the shipping industry. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Proficiency in MS Office applications. - Proactive and go-getter attitude with good analytical skills.
