Job Description

As an Assistant Manager - Civil at ENGIE in Pune, India, you will be reporting to the Head of Civil Engineering and overseeing all activities of the organization in India and other countries where projects are executed. Your responsibilities will include: - Conducting site visits in India and overseas during different project phases and preparing detailed reports, feasibility assessments, and remedial measures for Solar PV plants as required. - Reviewing and summarizing preliminary investigation reports, geotechnical studies, topography, and hydrology reports to propose suitable solutions for projects. - Preparing and reviewing technical documentation, procedural guidelines, and specifications for civil engineering activities. - Developing various QAPs, Field Quality Plans, SOPs, and Checklists for different project activities. - Reviewing and preparing structural and infrastructure drawings, bill of quantities, and design basis reports. - Designing structural and infrastructural elements for solar PV plants such as RCC buildings, shed buildings, module mounting structures, drainage systems, internal roads, and plumbing systems. - Providing technical support for O&M activities and coordinating with contractors, vendors, and project teams during construction. - Ensuring compliance with engineering standards such as IS, IRC, ASCE, ISO, and BS and demonstrating expertise in construction materials and their properties. Qualifications required for this role include: - Master's/Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BE/BTech/MTech) with 8-10 years of experience in the power generation sector, specifically in developing or designing/reviewing solar PV projects. - Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil-3D, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, Google Earth, QGIS, Microsoft Office, STAAD Pro, etc. - Fluent in spoken and written English with good people management skills and the ability to work autonomously. In addition to technical skills, you should possess the following behavioral competencies: - Strong people management skills, flexibility, meticulousness, and good planning abilities. - Proactiveness, stress resistance, results-focus, and the ability to challenge the status quo. - Self-motivation, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to work. This position offers the opportunity to work on Engineering & Design projects in the solar sector and requires a high level of technical expertise, organization, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under changing priorities and deadlines.
