In this role, you will: Successfully develop and deliver products, product lines, and solutions, using Assembler and C Design, code, and fix defects of increasingly complex, multi-tier software solutions. Produce a range of high-quality design options, reflecting a wide breadth of technical knowledge and insight. Evaluate new technologies/innovations and processes that could impact products/solutions including 3rd party releases. Work directly with global clients on complex product issues/escalations. To ensure youre set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience: Around 4 years of experience working with mainframe applications in an IBM z/OS environment. Hands-on experience with key technologies like Assembler, JCL, VSAM, ISPF, SDSF, and JES2/3. Familiarity with at least one database system such as IMS or DB2, preferably in an Agile setting. Good understanding of diagnostics, debugging, and troubleshooting mainframe issues. Experience using Agile methods and tools like JIRA for project tracking. Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation for applications and features. Strong problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills. Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle. Preferred/Desirable Skills (Nice to Have): Some exposure to SMP/E or z/OSMF. Familiarity with IBM terms like PTF and APAR. Interest or experience in Java development on z/OS.
