ASP Dotnet Developer (MVC)

You should have a minimum of 7-8 years of experience in building and maintaining application functionality for new and existing systems using the .Net toolset with a SQL Server back end. Additionally, you should be proficient in developing, maintaining, and enhancing web applications using ASP.NET MVC and ASP.NET Core MVC frameworks. Integration of web applications with external systems and services using Web services, REST Web APIs, XML, and JSON parsing is also a key responsibility. Participating in all aspects of the software development lifecycle including design, implementation, testing, documentation, and deployment is essential for this role. You will collaborate with business systems analysts and project managers to deliver high-quality solutions in a short timeframe. The ability to independently take an idea from creation through construction, launch, and ongoing support and enhancements is crucial. Maintaining a high standard of quality for code, documentation, and other deliverables is expected. You should be able to author unit test code and have familiarity with mock/fake object testing. Adherence to industry best practices, contribution to internal coding standards, and providing estimates for assigned development tasks are also part of the role. As a part of the team, you will learn and evaluate new technologies and tools as needed. Participation in peer code reviews and utilizing established development tools and conventions, including ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework/Entity Framework Core, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and C#, is required. Exposure to MVC Framework and knowledge of web services, REST WEB APIs, XML, and JSON parsing is beneficial. In addition to coding, the role also involves client communication, requirement analysis, estimation, documentation, working within Agile and Scrum frameworks, technical expertise in SQL, C#, Entity Framework, LINQ, MVC, REST APIs, Git, debugging, and basic front-end technologies. Experience in application migration, production deployment, technical interviews, team collaboration, and flexibility in taking on additional tasks are important aspects of the role.
