Role Description – Resident Medical Officer (RMO) This is a full-time, on-site position based at Ashok Hospital – Neuro & Trauma Center, Gautam Buddha Nagar . The Resident Medical Officer will play a critical role in delivering continuous medical care, assisting consultants in clinical procedures, and ensuring smooth functioning of emergency, inpatient, and critical care services. The RMO will work closely with physicians, surgeons, nursing teams, and other allied healthcare professionals to maintain a high standard of medical practice and patient safety. Responsibilities Conduct initial assessment, diagnosis, and routine examination of patients. Manage patient care in IPD, OPD, Emergency, ICU, and Trauma units as required. Assist consultants and surgeons during procedures and surgeries. Monitor vital parameters, review treatment plans, and update medical records. Coordinate with nursing and paramedical teams to ensure continuity of care. Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment and progress. Handle medical emergencies promptly and efficiently. Participate in clinical discussions, training sessions, and academic activities organized by the hospital. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, ethical practices, and patient safety standards. Qualifications MBBS with valid registration from UPMCI Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. Experience in Emergency Medicine, ICU management, and General Medicine is highly desirable. Hands-on experience in assisting during surgeries or minor procedures is an added advantage. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient management skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure healthcare environment. Prior experience in a neuro, trauma, research, or teaching hospital will be considered a plus.
