Role & responsibilities We are seeking a skilled and innovative Permanent Magnet and Electromagnet Designer to join us. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electromagnetics, magnetic material design, and hands-on experience in designing and optimizing permanent magnet systems and electromagnets. This role will involve collaboration with R&D, product development, and manufacturing teams to develop advanced magnet systems for applications in [aerospace, medical, automotive, energy, etc.].1. Job Role and Responsibilities: -Design and Development:Develop permanent magnet and electromagnet systems for specific applications, focusing on performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.Design magnetic circuits, optimize magnetic field strength, and minimize losses.Use analytical tools and simulation software (e.g., Ansys Maxwell, COMSOL, CST, or similar) for electromagnetic modeling and analysis.Material Selection:Select appropriate magnetic materials (e.g., NdFeB, ferrites, Alnico) based on application requirements.Evaluate the thermal, electrical, and mechanical properties of materials for design optimization.Testing and Prototyping:Collaborate with the prototyping team to build and test magnet assemblies.Conduct performance tests, measure magnetic field strengths, and troubleshoot issues.Collaboration:Work closely with cross-functional teams such as mechanical, electrical, and thermal engineers to ensure seamless integration of designs.Communicate with suppliers to source specialized materials and components.Documentation:Create detailed design documentation, including 2D/3D drawings, specifications, and BOMs.Maintain project reports and technical design reviews.2.
