AS400 with COBOL400

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the development, implementation, and support of the client's Parts business application environment. Your role will involve maintaining ASI platform strategies to support evolving business requirements and building strong relationships with the business, customers, and other departments. You will play a key role in meeting new technical and functional requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise the ASI/AS400 core system applications from planning and requirement analysis to development, testing, deployment, and monitoring job activities. - Manage daily support, maintenance, and incident resolution across all ASI applications, as well as project deployment activities. - Ensure systems are up-to-date, secure, and compliant while providing technical solutions for the scalability of core ASI platforms. - Develop and maintain ongoing ASI applications, support and enhance the client's Agile Development process and mindset. In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will embody and promote the client's Parts values of Teamwork, Continuous Improvement, Commitment, Openness, and Learning. Collaboration with stakeholders to align platform services with strategic business needs and establishing partnerships with internal teams, vendors, IT departments, and others will be critical aspects of your role. Qualifications Required: - 8-10 years of technical/professional experience in: - ASI/AS400 - COBOL400 / RPG400 - ILE/RPGLE/SQLRPGLE - CBLLE/SQLCBLLE - CLP/CLLE - SQL400 - DB2 - Integration Solutions (APIs) - Web Services - Strong team player with critical problem-solving abilities and bug fixing skills. - Proficiency in SDLC methodologies, particularly Agile. - Availability for the US time shift (2:00 pm to 11:00 pm IST) is mandatory.,
