AS400 Developer

As an experienced AS400 Developer with expertise in COBOL400, CL400, and DB2/400, your role will involve analyzing and troubleshooting COBOL programs independently. You will collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to support and enhance legacy systems on the AS400 platform. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze, develop, and support applications written in COBOL400 and CL400. - Write and optimize SQL queries for data manipulation and reporting. - Perform independent analysis of COBOL programs to identify bugs, enhancements, and performance improvements. - Collaborate with business analysts, QA, and operations teams to resolve issues and implement system changes. - Provide technical documentation and participate in code reviews as needed. - Troubleshoot production issues and provide L2/L3 support. Required Skills & Experience: - 5+ years of hands-on experience with AS400, COBOL400, CL400, and DB2/400. - Strong SQL skills with proven experience in data analysis and reporting. - Ability to independently analyze and modify COBOL programs. - Excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset. - Experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
