AS400 Developer

You will be responsible for high-level requirement analysis, estimation, scheduling, engineering activities planning, monitoring, tracking, controlling, and status reporting. Additionally, you will prepare technical designs, conduct reviews of technical designs, code, test plans, and test results, and provide testing support in system integration and user acceptance testing. You will also be involved in release preparation, contributing to non-functional requirements like performance and security testing, and providing post-implementation support. Furthermore, you will represent the engineering team in project-level meetings and discussions with stakeholders and other IT teams. As a technical lead, you will guide an engineering team of approximately 5 members to deliver as per agreed effort and timeline. You will work on multiple projects, typically 2 to 3 projects of small to medium size simultaneously. For this role, you must have at least 8 years of IT experience, including a minimum of 2 years as a technical lead. You should have experience working with a team size of 4 or 5, software development and maintenance using SDLC and Agile methodologies, and technical design for projects. Proficiency in the ISeries platform using CLLE, RPGLE, DB2400, and SQL is necessary, along with programming skills in SQL, RPG, and Free Format RPG. Experience with tools such as JIRA, RDI, RTC, ARCAD software change control, Jenkins, HP Quality Center, and GSD is required. Proficiency in programming using MQ, Connect Direct, and SFTP is also essential. Strong analytical skills, self-motivation, flexibility, the ability to work under tight deadlines, and multitasking skills are crucial. You should also be a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Preferred qualifications include experience in Restful API development using IWS on the ISeries platform, working with test automation tools like RPGunit, Xframework, and TOSCA, and experience with banking applications.
