Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our Point of Sale (POS) system. Handle cash, credit/debit cards, UPI payments, and other digital wallet transactions securely. Scan goods, ensure pricing is accurate, and collect payments. Issue correct change, receipts, refunds, or credits to customers. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area. Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift, ensuring accuracy. Resolve customer complaints patiently or escalate them to the appropriate manager. Answer customer queries regarding products, prices, or store policies politely. Bag, box, or wrap customer purchases as needed. Adhere strictly to all company policies, particularly regarding cash handling and security procedures. Qualifications and Skills: Education: Minimum 10th or 12th Standard pass (High School Diploma or equivalent) preferred. Experience: Previous experience as a Cashier or in a customer service role is preferred, but motivated freshers are also welcome to apply. Language Skills: Required: Proficiency in spoken Tamil. Highly Desirable: Good communication skills in English. Bonus: Knowledge of Hindi or other local languages. Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems or cash registers is an advantage. Ability to learn new systems quickly.
