Interior Site Supervisor – Job Description Interior Site Supervisor oversees all on-site execution of interior design and fit-out projects, ensuring work quality, safety, and timely completion as per design drawings and specifications. This role bridges the gap between the design team, contractors, and clients by coordinating site activities, managing resources, and maintaining smooth communication throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Project Execution & Coordination Supervise day-to-day on-site work to ensure alignment with approved drawings, design intent, and quality standards. Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely material delivery and installation. Interpret technical drawings and provide clear instructions to site workers and fabricators. Quality & Safety Management Monitor workmanship to ensure adherence to specifications and finishing quality. Enforce safety regulations and maintain a clean, hazard-free site. Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve issues proactively. Scheduling & Reporting Prepare and maintain daily progress reports, site diaries, and project updates. Assist in developing project timelines and ensure milestones are achieved. Communicate delays, design discrepancies, or material issues to the project manager/designer promptly. Resource & Workforce Management Supervise and guide carpenters, electricians, painters, plumbers, and other site teams. Manage workforce attendance, productivity, and deployment. Verify material quantities and ensure efficient usage to minimize wastage. Client & Design Team Interface Support client site visits and clarify design or technical queries. Liaise with the design and project management teams to implement design changes or modifications. Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of interior fit-out materials, finishes, joinery, and construction techniques. Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings and BOQs. Good communication and leadership skills to manage teams and subcontractors. Detail-oriented, with a commitment to quality, timelines, and client satisfaction. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make on-site decisions. QualificationsDiploma or Bachelor’s in Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or Architecture (preferred). 3–8 years of experience in supervising interior fit-out projects (residential, commercial, or hospitality). Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD (for reference), and site reporting formats. Work Environment based - primarily at project sites with regular travel between locations (if handling multiple projects). May require extended working hours to meet project deadlines. Remuneration commensurate with qualifications, work experience, and languages known.
