Job Description: Project Engineer Mixed Use Development (Residential & Commercial) Department: Projects Location: Chennai (Project Site – Arihant Foundations & Housing Ltd.) Experience Required: 5 - 8 Years Industry Preference: Real Estate Developers / PMC / High-Rise Residential & Commercial Construction Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Additional certifications in project/construction management preferred) Role Summary The Project Engineer will support the end-to-end execution of a mixed-use development project comprising high-rise residential towers and commercial buildings. The role involves project planning, technical supervision, quality assurance, and coordination with consultants, contractors, and PMC teams to ensure timely and quality completion of the project. Key Responsibilities 1. Project Planning & Coordination Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and executing civil, structural, and finishing works as per approved designs and timelines. Coordinate with PMC, consultants, and contractors to ensure execution as per GFC drawings and technical specifications. Monitor project progress, identify delays or deviations, and initiate corrective actions. Facilitate project review meetings and ensure closure of action points. 2. Technical Execution Review construction drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications to ensure design intent and constructability. Supervise execution of civil, structural, finishing, and MEP coordination works at site. Verify measurements, quantities, and contractor progress for billing certification. Ensure compliance with QA/QC standards, safety guidelines, and approved method statements. 3. Coordination with Stakeholders Liaise with architectural, structural, MEP, and landscape consultants for technical queries and resolution. Coordinate with PMC teams for monitoring, progress tracking, and reporting. Work closely with procurement, contracts, and billing teams for timely material availability and cost control. 4. Quality & Compliance Ensure adherence to IS codes, project specifications, and internal quality benchmarks. Support internal and external quality audits; implement corrective actions for non-conformances. Maintain complete documentation of inspections, test reports, checklists, and approvals as per QA/QC plan. 5. Reporting & Documentation Prepare daily/weekly progress reports, site logs, and material reconciliation. Assist in preparing MIS reports and monthly progress summaries for management review. Required Skills & Competencies Strong technical expertise in civil construction and finishing for high-rise and commercial buildings. Good exposure to MEP coordination, QA/QC systems, and contract administration. Ability to read, interpret, and review GFC drawings, construction details, and specifications. Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Working knowledge of MS Project / Primavera (basic preferred) and AutoCAD. Preferred Background Experience with real estate developers or PMC organizations handling mixed-use or high-rise residential/commercial projects. Hands-on involvement in project execution from foundation to finishing stages.
