Job Title: Senior Data Engineer/ Technical Lead Location: Pune Employment Type: Full-Time Experience Level: Senior Summary: We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer who will be responsible for architecting and maintaining scalable data pipelines, executing on advanced data management strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams for data integration and analytics. This expert-level position combines technical fluency with business-oriented problem solving to maximize the value of organizational data assets. Key Responsibilities: Work with data and teams to solve business problems, building and maintaining the infrastructure to answer questions and improve processes Build data pipelines that clean, transform, and aggregate data from disparate sources Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, Optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc. Conduct complex data analysis and report on results Help streamline data workflows, adding value to our offering and building out our customer lifecycle and retention models Work closely with the data and business intelligence teams to develop data models and pipelines for research, reporting, and machine learning Mentor, guide, and provide technical leadership to a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability Be an advocate for best practices and continued learning Required Qualifications: Bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, Analytics, or Related field. 4.5+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 2 years in a senior role. Experience building or maintaining ETL processes. Exposure with Azure tech like ADF, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric/ DBT is a plus alongside any data visualization/exploration tools is a plus too. Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases. Hands-on experience in at least one [REST or SOAP API] system is a plus Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment and convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills Excellent debugging, analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skill.
