Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Architectural Metal Detailer (BIM Engineer) with expertise in Revit and AutoCAD to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed fabrication drawings, shop drawings, and BIM models for architectural metal components such as railings, perforated panels, faade systems, and structural metal elements. Responsibilities: Create detailed 2D & 3D drawings for architectural metalwork using AutoCAD and Revit. Develop shop drawings for fabrication and installation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve design issues and ensure seamless execution. Generate BIM models for coordination and clash detection. Interpret architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings to extract relevant details. Ensure compliance with industry standards and fabrication best practices. Work closely with fabricators and project managers to optimize designs for manufacturing. Maintain organized project documentation and revisions. Required Skills & Qualifications: Education: Diploma/Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Software Expertise: AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), SketchUp (optional), Navisworks (preferred). Experience: 5-8 years in architectural metal detailing (railings, cladding, panels, structural elements). Strong understanding of metal fabrication, welding details, material properties, and installation methods. Knowledge of architectural and structural codes (AISC, ASTM, or relevant local standards). Ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints, construction drawings, and structural layouts. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with engineers, fabricators, and project managers. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Laser Cutting, CNC Machining, or Sheet Metal Fabrication. Familiarity with parametric modeling and scripting in Revit.
