Architectural & Interior Design Draftsman

You are looking for a skilled and versatile Architectural & Interior Joinery Draftsman to join the team. This role involves preparing architectural construction documents and developing precise joinery/shop drawings for interior fitout projects, ensuring alignment with design intent, technical standards, and site requirements. **Key Responsibilities:** - Prepare architectural drawings including floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details following project specifications and local building codes. - Develop 3D architectural and interior design models using software like 3ds Max, SketchUp, or Revit. - Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and consultants to refine design details. - Translate conceptual designs into detailed construction documentation. - Develop comprehensive shop drawings for custom joinery and millwork items such as kitchen cabinetry, wardrobes, vanities, reception desks, wall paneling, and built-in furniture. - Conduct site visits, take accurate measurements, and adjust drawings to reflect real-world site conditions. - Coordinate with workshop, suppliers, and installation teams to ensure constructability. **Requirements:** - Degree or Diploma in Civil, Architecture, Interior Design, Drafting, or related field. - Minimum 3 years of experience in architectural drafting and joinery/shop drawing. - Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential); knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, D5 Render & Lumion is an advantage. - Strong knowledge of construction methods, joinery fabrication techniques, and interior fitout standards. - Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior design drawings accurately. - Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills. - Familiarity with local building codes, standards, and material specifications. You may have experience in high-end residential, commercial, or hospitality fitouts. Managing multiple drafting packages across different project phases and having a practical understanding of onsite challenges are desirable attributes.
