As part of the team at Society for Promotion of Area Resource Centre, you will contribute to a unique initiative focused on informal mobility networks in Nalasopara. Supported and funded by Volvo Research and Education Foundation, with coordination by Columbia Climate School, this project aims to showcase the voice of the urban poor in the development of the city. Working alongside our research team, you will play a key role in transforming field insights into visually engaging content such as maps, diagrams, timelines, and exhibition layouts. This opportunity allows you to bridge the gap between urban research and public communication through innovative design. To excel in this role, you should have a background in architecture or visual communication, as well as proficiency in tools like Adobe Suite, GIS, InDesign, and Illustrator. Strong visual storytelling and layout skills are essential, while an interest in mobility, urban systems, or public engagement would be a valuable asset. Your responsibilities will include developing illustrations and graphic narratives based on research findings, designing maps, diagrams, and visual timelines, creating layouts for a public exhibition in Mumbai, and using design tools to craft clear and impactful communication materials.
