ob Description: We are looking for a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Semi-qualified dropouts who is passionate about building a career in Audit and Taxation. The candidate will be responsible for assisting in statutory audits, tax audits, and handling direct and indirect tax matters. This is a great opportunity for a newly qualified CA to gain hands-on experience in various areas of finance and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Assist in conducting Statutory Audits, Tax Audits, and Internal Audits of companies and firms. Preparation and review of Income Tax Returns and GST Returns. Ensure timely compliance of TDS, GST, and Income Tax filings. Assist in preparing financial statements as per applicable accounting standards. Work on Tax assessments and notices under various tax laws. Liaise with clients for data gathering and clarification. Maintain documentation and support during audit engagements. Desired Candidate Profile: Qualified Chartered Accountant or Semi-qualified dropouts Articleship experience in Audit and Taxation preferred. Good understanding of Accounting Standards, GST, TDS, and Income Tax. Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software (Tally, Zoho, etc.). Strong analytical, communication, and time management skills. Willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic work environment. As an Assistant Manager in Litigation and Tax Advisory at our CA firm based in Mumbai, you will play a crucial role in supporting our team by managing litigation cases and providing tax advisory services. Your primary responsibilities will include drafting replies to legal and tax notices, representing clients during personal hearings, preparing and filing appeals, and offering expert opinions on tax matters. Key Responsibilities: - Drafting Replies to Notices: You will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely responses to legal and tax notices from authorities, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. - Attending Personal Hearings: Representing clients during personal hearings, you will articulate their positions clearly and effectively to the authorities. - Preparing and Filing Appeals: Developing and submitting appeals for clients within deadlines, ensuring thorough documentation and well-founded arguments. - Drafting Opinions on Tax Matters: Analyzing complex tax issues and providing clear, concise written opinions to aid clients in decision-making. - Assisting in Client-Authority Communication: Facilitating effective communication between clients and relevant authorities to address inquiries and concerns promptly. - Managing litigation documents, conducting legal research, and collaborating with external counsel on litigation strategies. - Providing tax advisory support, including compliance, planning, and research on tax laws and regulations. - Preparing detailed reports and presentations on litigation and tax matters for internal stakeholders. - Assisting in the development of policies and procedures related to litigation and tax compliance. Qualifications: - Semi-qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Lawyer. - Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in tax law, compliance, or related areas. - Strong knowledge of tax regulations and legal procedures. This position offers a competitive CTC of 13-14 LPA with 6 working days and working timings from 10 AM to 6 PM.
