What You'll Do: Perform security assessments and audits of our infrastructure, identifying and mitigating security gaps and weaknesses. Proven expertise in using Terraform and other infrastructure as code tools, managing vulnerabilities, policies and implementing best practices. Partner with Aquanow engineering teams to understand and resolve security incidents that arise on their services. Conduct in-depth security reviews of application code, working closely with developers to code securely from the outset and address issues early during coding and testing phases. Experience with SAST, SCA, and DAST, with the ability to address real-world challenges in these areas. Implement and manage security tools within the CI/CD pipeline, focusing on DevSecOps practices Monitor and analyze logs, events, and metrics to identify security incidents, potential breaches, and emerging threats. Understand runtime security, image scanning, network security, access control, host OS hardening, and vulnerability management in the container lifecycle. Develop and maintain incident response plans, procedures, and playbooks for effective handling of security incidents and breaches. Design, implement, and maintain security measures for our cloud infrastructure, including VPCs, security groups, IAM roles, and access controls. Maintaining security hardening configurations and guidance for the diverse set of services available across our cloud environments. You'll Need to Have: 5+ years of Security Engineering experience preferably in AWS Cloud and at least 2 of the following areas: cloud security, web application security, incident response, threat hunting, and cyber security operations. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered. Strong knowledge of security principles, best practices, and common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10) Familiar with SAST, DAST, Fuzzing, and other tools. Experience with Wiz, Prisma Cloud, Jira, Confluence & Terraform / CloudFormation (Infrastructure as a code) Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins or CircleCI. Experience with security technologies, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP, antivirus, and vulnerability scanners. Good understanding of cloud security architecture, security assessments, audit standards for the Cloud, security threats in the cloud. Solid understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and network security concepts. Ability to work independently and problem solve. We'd Love to See: Automation experience with AWS. Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty, CISSP, CEH are highly desirable. Experience in a global fast moving environment covering multiple time zones. This opportunity offers a unique opportunity to dive deep into our production environment and get a full 360° view of our platform—from frontend applications and backend systems, all the way to blockchain infrastructure. You’ll be responsible for support, administering and monitoring our production environments. You'll gain hands-on exposure to the full spectrum of technical operations, becoming a critical point of escalation for troubleshooting live issues, analyzing logs and metrics, and helping to drive platform stability for a diverse, global client base. In this role, you'll leverage powerful observability tools, infrastructure logs, and custom dashboards to conduct detailed investigations—resolving bugs or escalating to development teams with rich analysis. This is a remote, 1-year contract role based in Bangalore, India , with the possibility of extension depending on performance and business needs. You’ll work closely with our global engineering and operations teams to support Aquanow’s production systems and infrastructure. What You’ll Do Provide 1st and 2nd level application support for all the virtual assets products hosted on our trading platform, performing detailed troubleshooting and resolving issues in live production environments reported by the customers. Perform deep dive analysis using infrastructure and application logs, metrics and traces to identify performance bottlenecks relating to system performance, APIs, websockets, databases. Perform code debugging to identify software issues, develop hotfixes and seek peer code review with senior software engineers before deploying into staging and production. Observe the application health and manage alerts with the goal to restore normal service operation as quickly as possible and to minimize the impact on business operations. Collaborate with the software development teams to build an effective Observability stack to generate logs, metrics, traces and notifications for production services. Work with engineering and product teams, as well as other vendors, to test and deploy software updates, license updates and fixes to production. Assist with documentation on knowledge base articles, operations manuals, incident and problem management process. We’d Love to See Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related fields. Proficient with at least one programming language (NodeJs, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, C#, Bash, etc.). 1-2 years of experience supporting fintech applications, payment processors, and/or crypto trading platforms etc. Extensive experience with AWS and its services (Lambda, Cloudwatch, DynamoDB). Experience with Postman for API testing. Experience with SQL and/or PostgreSQL. Experience with at least 1 observability tool: Coralogix, Grafana, Prometheus, New Relic, Splunk, etc. Experience with relational & non-relational databases (e.g. querying, and performance analysis). Experience with CI/CD and deployment pipeline setup and automation (Github actions). Fast learner with excellent analytical problem solving and communication skills.
