About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic Purchase Engineer/Executive to join our procurement team at AQ Mechanical & Electrical Manufacturing India Pvt. Ltd. In this role, you’ll be responsible for end-to-end purchasing of electrical components (terminals, connectors, MCBs, cables, etc.) from local and global suppliers, ensuring cost-efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery for our projects. Key Responsibilities: Sourcing & Procurement: Manage RFQs, vendor negotiations, and PO releases for electrical components. Supplier Management: Resolve supply, quality, and invoicing issues; evaluate supplier performance. Technical Alignment: Review vendor quotations against technical/commercial project specs. Operational Excellence: Track PO deliveries, shipments, and ensure OTD (On-Time Delivery). Cross-functional Collaboration: Liaise with suppliers, engineering, and logistics teams. Qualifications & Skills: Education: B.E. in Electrical/E&TC Experience: 4–6 years in procurement/purchasing (Electrical background preferred). Technical Know-How: Familiarity with locomotive/railway components (terminals, MCBs, cables, etc.). Languages: Proficient in English, Hindi, and Marathi. Software: Advanced MS Office (Excel, PPT, Word).

Role Description · Good understanding of quality tools and methodologies (5 Whys, Ishikawa, SPC, MSA, FMEA, PPAP, APQP). · Good Knowledge of root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and 8D · Experience with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 quality management systems. · Manage supplier quality—review supplier PPAP, audits, and performance evaluations. · Support new product development (NPD) activities through APQP, FMEA, and control plan · Participate in internal and external quality audits · Prepare quality reports, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards. · Continuous improvement and defect prevention attitude required. · Organize materials and ensure that all project sites are safe, clean, and compliant with safety standards. · Prepare cost estimates and verify the availability of appropriate materials, tools, and equipment. · Provide technical guidance and suggest improvements to enhance project efficiency and quality. · Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment-related issues promptly. · Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure the best contracts and ensure timely delivery of materials. · Review and authorize technical drawings, engineering plans, and specifications. · Develop and manage work schedules, communicating updates or adjustments to team members and clients. · Collect and analyse data, compile detailed reports, and deliver presentations to key stakeholders. · Delegate tasks effectively and organize meetings or training sessions as needed. · Conduct quality assurance checks, monitor performance, and provide constructive feedback to improve team output.
