The Head of Structural Design is a key leadership role within our organization, requiring a highly skilled and experienced individual to oversee the design and engineering of precast structural projects. As the ideal candidate, you will have a strong background in structural engineering, with a focus on precast concrete structures and building/infrastructure projects. Your responsibilities will include leading a team, collaborating with various stakeholders, managing resources effectively, ensuring quality assurance and compliance, facilitating international collaboration, and providing support during project execution. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around structural design leadership. You will be tasked with developing innovative and efficient designs for precast concrete projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards, optimizing designs for manufacturability and transportation, and conducting design reviews. Additionally, you will work closely with stakeholders such as the Business Development and Production teams to assess project feasibility, align design deliverables with manufacturing timelines, and address technical queries from clients and consultants. Team and resource management will also be a crucial aspect of your role. You will lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing design team, introduce and implement design software and tools for improved efficiency, and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines. Quality assurance, compliance, and international collaboration will further enhance your responsibilities, requiring you to maintain design quality standards, coordinate with international clients and consultants, and stay updated with global trends in precast structural design. Furthermore, your role will involve providing technical guidance during the construction phase, ensuring timely delivery of project documentation, monitoring progress, and adhering to project schedules and budgets. Your qualifications should include a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, along with a minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in structural design focusing on precast concrete structures. Proficiency in structural analysis and design software, experience in handling large-scale building projects, and knowledge of relevant design codes and standards are essential requirements. Key skills such as strong leadership, excellent communication, stakeholder management abilities, analytical mindset, and solution-oriented approach will be critical for success in this role. Experience in multinational firms, exposure to international projects, familiarity with global design standards, and certifications in structural engineering or project management are preferred attributes.
