Job Description As a Software QA at AppTrait Solutions, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our web and mobile applications. This entry-level role is perfect for a recent graduate who is passionate about software quality and eager to learn. You will work closely with our development and design teams to write and execute test cases, identify defects, and help improve our products before release. Training and mentorship will be provided, so candidates with strong fundamentals and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Develop and Execute Test Cases: Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for web and mobile applications. Manual Testing: Perform thorough manual testing (functional, regression, and usability testing) to uncover bugs or issues. Defect Reporting: Document and report defects clearly using our tracking tools, and verify fixes once issues are resolved. Collaboration: Work with developers and other team members to understand requirements and ensure software quality throughout the development cycle. Regression Testing: Execute regression tests for new releases to ensure existing functionality remains stable. Documentation: Maintain clear test documentation and update it as needed. Process Improvement: Participate in sprint meetings and contribute ideas to improve testing processes and overall product quality. Required Skills Test Case and Test Scenario Knowledge: Strong understanding of how to write and execute effective test cases and scenarios. Software Testing Methods: Familiarity with various testing methodologies (e.g., functional, regression, acceptance testing). SDLC/STLC Awareness: Good knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) concepts. Mobile & Web Testing: Exposure to testing web applications and mobile apps on different devices and browsers. Analytical Mindset: Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly document bugs and test results. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment. Bonus Skills (Preferred) Automated Testing Tools: Awareness of or experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, or similar). AI Tools Familiarity: Basic understanding of AI-driven tools (such as ChatGPT or other AI assistants) that can aid in testing or productivity. Bug Tracking Tools: Familiarity with bug-tracking or test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) is a plus. Eligibility Experience Level: Freshers only. We welcome recent graduates or candidates who have completed a QA certification or relevant course. Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is preferred.
