Apps Dev Intmd Programmer Analyst - Big Data Developer

The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participating in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. Your main objective in this role will be to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities. You will be expected to have a strong knowledge in Big data, Hadoop, or Cloud Era, along with proficiency in programming languages such as spark or scala. It would be beneficial to have a working knowledge in Kafka API. Consultation with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, recommending programming solutions, installing, and supporting customer exposure systems will also be part of your responsibilities. Your tasks will involve applying fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications, analyzing applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues, as well as conducting testing and debugging. Additionally, you will serve as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts, identifying problems, analyzing information, and making evaluative judgments to recommend and implement solutions. As an Intermediate Programmer Analyst, you will be expected to resolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents. You should have the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision, exercise independence of judgment and autonomy, act as Subject Matter Expert to senior stakeholders and/or other team members. It is essential to appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets. This includes driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
